Feminist School: Family of Shahla Jahed gathered behind the prison gates since midnight, Shahla’s old mum, her sister and brother the whole family from far and near even the neighbours were behind the gates.

UN CALLS FOR RELEASE OF HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER
26 November 2010, by adminOn 23 November the UN human rights chief called for the release of Iranian human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh. This followed the first trial session on 15 November. She has now been held for 80 days, following her arbitrary arrest on 4 September 2010. Amnesty International considers her to be a prisoner of conscience, held solely in connection with her work as a lawyer.

Nasrin Sotoodeh Still on Hunger Strike, Her Husband Informed in a Visit
11 November 2010, by adminFeminist School: Today, 11 Nov. 2010, Nasrin Sotoudeh’s husband, brother and sister were allowed to visit her for 10 minutes in Evin Prison. This was the first time Reza Khandan, Nasrin’s husband, could visit her after ten weeks. He told Feminist School, ‘Nasrin informed us that she has ended her dry hunger strike as a courtesy to her friends’ request, however, she will keep her hunger strike for as long as the officials refuse her legal demands.

Nasrin Sotoudeh on Dry Hunger Strike
4 November 2010, by adminFeminist school :Reza Khandan, Nasrin Sotoodeh’s husband, in an interview said that on Wednesday November 3rd, Nasrin Sotooden called home and informed him that she had received permission to have visitors and expressed her wish to visit her children and her sister. However when, on Thursday November 4th, they went to Evin prison, only her two children, 10 and 3 years old, her mother in law, and her sister were allowed to visit her. 3 November 2010, by adminFeminist School: Reza Khandan Nasrin’s husband communicated the set date for the court hearing as Nasrin’s lawyers attended the court for the briefing of their client’s case, they were told the set date for the hearing is on the 16th of this month and the residing judge will be Pir Abbasi.

16 October 2010, by adminFeminist School:Today, October16, 2010, Nasim Ghanavi, Nasrin Sotoodeh’s attorney, went to the branch of the court in Evin prison to obtain some information regarding the status of her client. However he returned empty handed!
She said: “This morning I went to the court, but I could not visit the investigative judge because he had a meeting. I returned again in the afternoon, but he still was not available.â€

Nasrin Sotoudeh is on a hunger strike
7 October 2010, by adminFeminist School: Nasrin Sotoudeh, lawyer and one of members of Campaign, is on a hunger strike. Reza Khandan says that her wife called after 19 days and told him that she has been on a hunger strike from 12 days ago.
Close relatives of Ms. Sotoudeh told the Campaign that she’s been asked to drop legal representation of the Nobel Peace Laureate Shirin Ebadi, but so far she has not succumbed to these demands.
