Parisa Kakaee: A Life Devoted to Community Service, Now Serving at Evin Prison
21 January 2010, by adminFeminist School: Parisa Kakaee, the women activist and a member of the Committee for Human Rights Reporters, was arrested on January 1, after responding to a telephone summons and appearing at the office of the Intelligence Ministry. Currently seven members of the Committee are being detained in Ward 209 of Evin prison, and other members have been threatened and summoned.

Society for human rights in Iran, Southern California, urges Iranian authorities to immediately halt execution of 2 person
18 January 2010, by adminSarymeh Ebadi, 30 and BoAli Johnfeshani, 32 are at imminent risk of stoning to death after being convicted of “adultery†in the city of Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province. According to the recent news, their sentences have been approved by the province court on January 6 (Day 16) without representation by a lawyer.
Despite the moratorium imposed in 2002, stoning sentences continued to be implemented in Iran.

The Detention Order of Mansoureh Shojaee was Extended
12 January 2010, by adminFeminist School:Nasrin Sotoudeh, the defending lawyer of Mansoureh Shojaee, returned to the Revolutionary Court today, January 12th, and was informed that her client’s request to change her detention order was rejected.
Nasrin Sotoudeh added, "I returned to the Revolutionary Court to follow up on the case of Mansoureh Shojaee and that of my other clients. I was informed that Mansoureh Shojaee has objected to her detention order and asked that it be changed. Her request had been sent to the (...)
